About Me
Paul Michael Hughes was born in Toms River, NJ and discovered his love and talent for theater at a very young age, first appearing onstage at the age of 5. After studying music in college, Paul went on to perform with New Dawn Singers and RWS Entertainment Group both nationally and internationally, as well as worked for Belinda King Entertainment onboard Seabourn Cruise Lines as the Lead Vocalist and Vocal Captain for two years.
Locally, he has worked extensively with various theaters such as Servant Stage Company and American Music Theatre. One of his favorite accomplishments was performing the title role in Bud Nobel’s AHAB: A Musical Odyssey, based on the Herman Melville classic, Moby Dick, as well as the original cast recording. Recently, Paul was seen at the Strasburg Rail Road, featuring roles in their murder mystery series, “The Show Must Go On”, as well as a vaudeville review and the summer stunt show “ The Bonnie & Clyde Experience”.
This upcoming holiday season, he is back at American Music Theatre for his sixth season as a Lead Vocalist for their Christmas show, Joy to the World, running from Nov. 5th - Dec. 30th!
When not busy performing, you can usually find him blasting Backstreet Boys, nose deep into fantasy novels, or binge watching tv shows with his beautiful wife, Catherine, and two cats, Jett & Jasper. Be sure to follow Paul (@pmdhughes) on social media to see where he is performing next!
